Anna Kendrick Opens Up the Tribeca Film Festival

Enjoying an evening out, Anna Kendrick was spotted at the opening night premiere of “The Union” at the Tribeca Film Festival last night (April 20).

The “Up in the Air” actress smiled brightly as she posed for the paparazzi at the North Cove at World Financial Center Plaza in New York City.

“The Union” is a documentary directed by Cameron Crowe about a musical collaboration between Elton John and Leon Russell.

Elton told press, "I never thought when we started making this that we would end up here. We didn't know what would happen. We just wanted Cameron to document what was going on in the studio.”

Anna Kendrick: 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Spending the afternoon on the red carpet, Anna Kendrick was among the stars on-hand for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (February 26).

The "Twilight" actress happily took to the Santa Monica venue as she readied to watch on to find out the big winners at the annual beachfront event.

And while she's not among the nominees this year, Miss Kendrick was a runner-up at the Spirit Awards last year as a Best Supporting Actress contender for her role in "Up In the Air".

Meanwhile, the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards will air at 10:00 ET on IFC with Joel McHale handling the hosting duties.
