Fashion and beauty writers go ga-ga over Shilpa Shetty's figure and praise her as the female actress in Bollywood having the sexiest figure. No wonder she is hitting the gym more frequently these days, teaching other chicks about how to maintain a fit and beautiful figure through her videos and DVDs promoting Yoga for fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Reports say that she is giving the renowned Indian Guru Baba Ramdev a run for his money as he is also promoting Yoga and fitness and health medications to millions of his fans, and uses DVDs and videos to promote Yoga.

Katrina Kaif to perform in IPL cricket finale in South Africa
Organizers of the 5-week long IPL cricket matches in South Africa said on Wednesday that Katrina Kaif will join a troupe of Indian and South African dancers led by award-winning Indian choreographer Shiamak Davar to perform the Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman song 'Jai Ho' from the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
Shilpa Shetty will also be performing in the cricket finale along with American R&B artist Akon. Katrina Kaif and Shilpa Shetty will be the only Bollywood stars performing at the finale, not a bevy of Bollywood beauties as speculated earlier.
The Caribbean music legend Eddy Grant will also perform the ever popular 'Walking on Sunshine' and his anti-apartheid hit 'Gimme Hope Jo'anna', which became an anthem in the days when the white minority government of South Africa strictly regulated everything from music and song to social gatherings. A perfectly synchronized piece featuring renowned percussionist Shivamani and a group of Indian and South African drummers is also slated for the finale.
Shilpa Shetty to join R&B artist Akon at IPL finale
Latest reports from Johannesburg on May 21 say that Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty will be joining American R&B singer Akon as he sings his Grammy award winning 'Smack That' at the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wanderers on Sunday night.
The IPL matches in South Africa will end on a high note for Shilpa’s performance, but for her it is sad to note that her Rajasthan Royals team has no hope of retaining their champion status attained in inaugural series held last year in India.

A grand reception for Raj-Shilpa at the House of Commons
They got married two months back. They had a long honeymoon at the Bahamas and yet an extended one at the yacht, but the celebrations do not end year for the celebrity couple- Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra.
A grand reception was hosted at the House of Commons in London for the couple by a star struck British MP Kieth Vaz. “We are celebrating our wedding and the honeymoon just continues. I am very happy,” an elated Shilpa said adding that looking at the kind of enjoyment they are having, she should have gotten “married earlier”.
Speaking from London, Shilpa said, “I don’t know why I didn’t get married earlier! Marriage is wonderful when the man whom you marry is good, and mine is wonderful! Touch wood, I’m loving every minute of the marriage.”
Shilpa had informed about this reception much earlier saying, “The House of Commons reception is being thrown for Raj and me by British MP Keith Vaz who’s a dear friend of ours.”
Shilpa also added that she is eager to get back to Mumbai on Jan 8. “I’m missing Mumbai and can’t wait to get back.”

Big Brother star and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has married with her London-based businessman and boyfriend Raj Kundra on Sunday, 22nd November 2009 at Khandala. Shetty, 34, clad in a red-and-gold saree, walked around a holy fire with Kundra in a traditional Hindu ritual that signifies the bond of marriage. The wedding ceremony was held at Shilpa shetty’s business partner Kiran Bawa’s farmhouse in Khandala. Many well known Bollywood celebrities, their close friends and relatives have attended the wedding ceremony. Preity Zinta throws sarcastic remarks on Shilpa Shetty
Both Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty are the owners of the IPL teams. Both have been successful actresses on the big screen. So, it is but natural that there would be jealousy, bitching and cat-fights between the two but the kind of statements Preity gave in for Shilpa on the occasion of FICCI’s 10th anniversary celebration can be called least professional.
When asked about the Shilpa-Preity IPL competition, Preity said, “She is not going to play cricket.” She then added, “I own a team, I am an investor in the team, I am the chairperson of the team. It is very difficult for them to digest that I am the boss.”
Preity here supposedly forgot that even she is not going to play cricket and that Shilpa is the boss too of her IPL team Rajasthan Royals. Shetty girl was politically correct saying, “Our teams are in competition.”

Shilpa Shetty to tickle the taste buds this time
It was the uncooked chicken which had gained controversy in the Big Brother house and Jade Goody had famously dubbed Shilpa as “Shilpa Poppadom” when she was in the house.
Now, the Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty has launched a range of readymade gourmet meals in the U.K. Shilpa, who lives in Surrey with her fiancé, entrepreneur Raj Kundra, has acquired a 33 per cent stake in the V8 Gourmet Group. Her range to be developed by her jointly with master chef Andy Verma would be ‘Shilpa’s Gourmet Creations’ which will offer low fat chutneys, pickles and spices. The development of the range is expected to take about eight to six months time and so it will hit the U.K. market next year. Among others the range will also offer lamb, fish, chicken and vegetable dishes. The spice range will be organic.
When Shilpa was asked whether Poppadoms will be part of the range, Shilpa replied, “Poppadoms do show we have a sense of humour, we intend on giving them out for free. I do hope they are not called Shilpa’s Poppadoms.”

Shilpa Shetty seeks blessings on Nag Panchmi
Shilpa Shetty has seen a lot of ups and downs in her life. She has tasted success, stardom, a row of flops, failure in love with Akshay Kumar and many other setbacks in the initial days of her career. Things took a turn for the better and she came into international limelight when she won the UK-based reality show ‘Big Brother’.
Since then she seems to be going places. Launch of big brands, TV shows, presence at international events, big projects, she seems to be everywhere. Even her love life is on a high with her marriage plans with businessman Raj Kundra with whom she has also bought stakes in the IPL team Rajasthan Royals. Shilpa Shetty is all set to join the award winning English soap ‘EastEnders’.
